使想起( remind的过去式和过去分词 );提醒;

remind接双宾语时其直接宾语可以是动词不定式,也可以是介词短语“of+ v -ing ”。它们之间的区别是:前者指将来发生的事情,而后者则指过去发生过的事情。试比较以下两个句子:
He reminded me to answer the letter.
他提醒我回这封信。
He reminded me of my answering the letter.
他提醒我已经回过这封信了。
这组词共同的意思是“回忆”“记起”。它们之间的区别在于:
1.mind指通过媒介或激发力而“想起”,是方言用法。
2.recall指有意识地记起了过去的事情,还可表示由于看到的东西与往事相似而引起回忆。例如:
I can still recall your saying to me that you were going to be a lawyer.我还记得清你对我说过你要当律师的事。
I don't recall where to meet her.我不能记起在哪儿见过她。
I don't recall how to do it.我不能记忆起怎样做那事。
3.remember则有可能是有意识地,也可能是不由自主地记住。例如:

4.remind指通过媒介或激发力而“想起”。 例如:
The picture reminded him of his home and family in Taiwan.这幅画使他想起了在台湾的故乡和亲人。
The time of year reminds me how the months have gone.每年这个时候都使我想起那些月份是怎么过去的。
5.recollect可表示轻松愉快或沉思默想地回忆某事。例如:
She sat there quietly and began to recollect their happy holidays.她静静地坐在那儿,开始回忆起他们愉快的假日。
这些动词均有“记忆、记住、回忆”之意。
memorize指有意识的下功夫把某事的整个细节都记在脑子里。
remember含义较广,多指无意识地回忆起往事,也可指通过主观努力去记忆。
recall比remember文雅,指想方设法回忆已经遗忘之事。
recollect指在记忆中搜索,设法想起一时想不起的事情或人,强调过程。
remind指经某人或某事的提醒而回忆起某件已遗忘之事。
Why had she ever trusted her? In point of fact she never had, she reminded herself.
